The Executive Board Meeting at Portland was visited by NGC officers, the Director of the North Atlantic Region, and five New England presidents. Other achievements of this period were the tentative division of the GCFM into districts, support of legislation for taxing billboards, a three-day flower show judging course, prize winning exhibits sent to Florida, California, and New York, the first teachers sent to Audubon Camp in Maine by member clubs, the first GCFM Yearbook, and the adoption of the GCFM emblem.
